For Allianz House and Contents Insurance policies effective from 14 January 2025, flood cover will be included as standard and is no longer optional. It's important to provide the customer with the PDS and SPDS (where applicable) that applies to their policy start date.
The Allianz House and Contents insurance policy is designed especially for the Australian market. Our PDS is designed to be visual, simple and easy to understand.
A key feature of our policy is that we generally pay for repair or replacement of all contents up to the policy limits. The products include a wide variety of additional benefits and options such as:
- Optional cover for Accidental Damage,
- Optional cover for Motor Burnout (fusion),
- Cover for removal of debris,
- An additional 10% of the buildings sum insured for rebuilding and professional fees, and;
- Cover for smart watches and other wearable technology.

The calculator’s result provides an adjustable estimate of their sum insured and should not be entirely relied upon or replace a professional valuation, and should be assessed for suitability given the customer’s specific knowledge of the property.
